Default D16Y7 Oil leak at oil pump

Hi, there appears to be an oil leak coming out of my oil pump, toward the back (firewall side) of the engine. It looks like its coming out of the hole where there is a plug screwed in. I would like to unscrew this plug, clean the threads real well and then put silicone and screw it back in.

But my fear is that inside there might be like a spring or something important that I can screw up. The service manual doesn't even show whats in there. Any tips?

There's two plugs. One is facing downward and one to the side. The one to the side is like a drain plug. The one faci g downward contains the pressure release spring and slide but there's not much spring pressure so you should be fine but if it does come out its not bad. The spring slides over the slide and that's about it. Hope this helps

Thanks, I guess it's just a test port to measure oil pressure right at the pump, although I wish the service manual would say that.

Yeah the service manuals don't go too much into detail
