Post D17a2 New 550 rc injector problems

Here's the stats 01 civic d17a2
To4e turbo setup
Intercooler not installed yet
Stock ecu
550cc rc injectors just installed

So I'm having a starting issue I put the injectors in and it floods. I tried pulling plugs and blowin out the cylinders. I kick started it and it ran briefly
Before flooding again.
A friend was running them on his ek jus prior to me getting them and it ran fine it was stock ecu Na build.
I've heard it's a cold start computer issue and there's a fix can someone help clarify. And can a safc or something similar be used to control the injectors if needed to run them until I save up enough for a aem fic or something better ..(got safc's and other stuff like that for sale cheap here so wanna know if I can/should use it temporarily) or should i jus pull them out ..thanks any info would help ASAP

You have to have a tuned ECU to use non-stock injectors. The consensus seems to be that it's a waste of money trying to make a D17 faster.

LOL, the ecu still thinks the stock injectors are installed. Put them back in or tune the car for the current injectors. I know nothing about how to tune 01-05 civics. Piggy backs such as SAFC etc are junk IMO. I think you would have to go with K pro or an AEM standalone system to have something worthwhile.

Raja I figured that much but I've heard that even with an ecu people still run into cold start issues. Something to do with engine temps and the way the stock injectors have pin size air holes to allow better atomization at start up. The rc injectors don't have the same setup so it causes problems. And I've heard there's a sinple mechanical fix but no DIY to explain it. Thanks for the comments.

I have never had a problem with my RC 440s in my D series JRSC build. I was tuned on Hondata.

Default Aem fic map

So I got the aem fic for the car. Does anyone got a base map I could borrow cuz dynoz in Hawaii are expensive. If they tune a base map it's 350 if they gotta work ground up they want 700.

Sorry, can't help with that. I would suggest to check on Honda-tech.com. It is a much, much bigger forum here there are many more 01-05 owners modding their cars.
