Default Dash Light Out

My dashboard light is out on my 2d 94 civic ex. Sometimes if I bang the top of the dashboard it will come on. Probably a short?

a circuit that is going open intermittantly. first thing i would try: locate the fuse and take it out and put it back in.

if it is the same as the 88, on the back of the panel that yu remove to get to the fuses is a diagram. honda does not show the diagram in the original owner manual (1988 model).
