Default Dash regulator

I have a 1986 Honda Civic DX. The gas and temp gauges are "heating-element" over bi-metallic spring style gauges. These gauges in most cars use a "pulsed" positive current and a negative current controlled by the resistance of the sending units.

What I cannot find is the dash-voltage regulator that creates the "pulsed-current"

Does anybody know where it is and what the service manual calls it?

Thanks in advance,
Alan
