Diagram
Dose anyone have a diagram or know where the map sensor wires go? for some reason the guy i bought the car off of either cut or ripped the wires out from underneath the hood. its a 95 del sol with the 1.6 vtec. he said he swapped the head.

which diagram do you need the ecu pinout or the plugs on the motor?

i gotta run a plug from the motor to the ecu i do believe. i cant find the plug or wires under the hood. it has the p28 for ecu. it was a non vtec motor turned into one, im sure that makes a difference. the check engine light is on and thats what it says and probly cause its not hooked up lol

The only difference in wiring when swapping to a VTEC is the VTEC solenoid and pressure sensor.
Note that the MAP and the TPS have the same style 3-wire plugs and the sensors are close enough together that the plugs can be plugged in to the wrong sensor. |
ya thats what i thought too but i cant find the plug anywhere under the hood. he said when he swapped the head and stuff the new throttle body didnt have the plug so i dont know if he cut it or what. but he was right it dosent have but there was a vacuum line that he plugged. but i have a throttle body that dose have the plug so i put that on and it ran alot better but i still gotta do the map.
