difference between vti and sir??

Default difference between vti and sir??

i know the sir is a slightly tweaked b16 but wot hav they done to get those 10 extra ponies?

Slightly bumped up compression and Jap higher octane fuel.

If I'm not mistaken, the VTi is SOHC while the SiR is DOHC...

I have the JDM SIR II B16 in my EK. Its got 10:4 compression as opposed to the us versions having 10:2. I dont know if theres any difference in camshafts of not? Vtec kicks in at 5900RPM.

I thought some VTI's had a B16 as well????

UK VTI's come with B16's. Its JDM vti's that come with a D-series. And yes I think there is some difference in cam's between UKDM VTI's and the SIR.

Sorry, I didn't know what DM of Civic we were talking about. I was referring to JDM and PhilippineDM VTi's and SiR's...
