Does any one here actually have a minime swap. I belive it's a d15b7 with a d6y8 head correct. I'm thinkking about doind one, but I need soem opinions first. I read teh swap in the DIY section. and i'll probabyl do it all myself except for the wiring. get it towed soem where and have them do it. anything I should look out for?!good or bad

I wouldn't do it... you could invest your hard-earned money in something that will give you a much more expandable and satisfying platform to build on.

 

this is how it all started for me, i asked about power, mini me was brought up, so i checked kappa's diy, next thing i know im asking what motor is what and then out of nowhere , when i wasnt even thinking about it a b16a is offered to me, and now over 3000.00 later (including the motor trans, alt, dist, ecu, harness, gen swap items 1600.00) the motor isin the garage,
but enuogh of me talking about myself, lets hear what you think about me,, no, i'm only kiddin..
the big thing i kept hearing over and again on these forums was about the oil pump and the v-tec heads not working properly, and that the extra rpm's that the head are capable of will break down the motor, it was main reason i switched to swap...
