does only a 96-2000 civic cluster work in my car?

so i was just wondering if only a 96-00 civic cluster would work for my 96 civic or does anyone know if i can use one from a diffrent make or model or year? the junkyard in my town never gets newer hondas in it or once it does the car gets raped in min. so just wondering if i could be looking into diffrent cars to take a cluster out of?

Unless you feel like a lot of wiring, just stick with 96-00. Have you tried eBay?

Certain CRV clusters are the same. I can't remember which year range exactly.
