Default Drivers side headlight sort?

Heres the lil story. About 2 nights ago i seen that my high and low beams wouldnt work on the drivers side. I thought that it was odd that they both went out at the same time. So I bought all new hi and low beam lights for both sides but when i changed the high beam light it still wouldnt work. i didnt even try the low beam since it got dark. Have any of you ever had this happen? any help would be awsome. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried to check the fuses for the vehicle for the front lights, or any possible wire mishaps?

I didnt check my fuse. That never even crossed my mind. I did run and check my wires and they all looked fine.
