My buddy blew his ebgine in his 96 dx and he has swapped it for a b16a like in the 99-00 civic si's and i need to know what ecu he needs to run. i looked all over and havent found a definite one. P2t comes up a lot but is this right. Also what harness. because he iis going from non vtec to vtec thanks in advance.

 

use the engine harness from the dx and add your vtec wires to your exsisting harness, its much easier. and where are you getting the motor? if your getting it from a car, then usse the ecu from that car. if you need to find out what ecu to run, then call your local honda dealer and ask for a ecu for that specific make/nodel/year of the engne. then when he gives you the price, ask for the ecu code for comparison. good luck

 

the p2t is the 99-00 Si ecu. there's one for sale on honda-tech right now for $75. he will also need a obd2a-obd2b jumper harness.
