Engine Help!
 

Hey Everyone. just posted in the intro page but thought this problem was more suitable here.

I'm having some problems with my 97 ex. Driving yesterday and heard a loud pop and alot of white smoke. pulled over, some more smoke from the front of the car, and turns out there was no oil. brought it to my mechanic, and he got it started but it is rattling. any suggestions as to what it might be, and any solutions? you can email me at robvillano@yahoo.com. anything would be very helpful, seeing as im broke.

if you see white smoke so the head gasket is bad.

It sounds like your engine is ruined. The knocking noise is because the bearings in the bottom of the engine are destroyed from lack of oil. Replacing the whole engine with a rebuilt or good used engine is the most cost- effective way to get the car working again.
