Default Engine hesitation

I have 1.3 1995 Civic 16v (Marlin model) 36000K.
I have a problem with the engine 'hesitating' which makes the car jump about a lot when pressing the accelerator. The engine is fine at idle. It only does this from cold start and once the engine is warmed up it runs smoothly until the next time i start from cold. Any ideas what i need to check to resolve this problem?

Cheers

best have a diagnostic run, could be plugs, anti-pollution parts, fuel injectors, plug wires, loose or corroded wires,etc....point is too many things could be the problem so have a garage do a diagnostic, may turn up other things to fix that actually save you money before it causes a bigger problem
