First off hello Forums I'm new.

Ok so I have a 90 civic hatch with a d16z6 swap (newly replace tranny) my problem is after the car warms up (stars fine) i will get major throttle lag like its really jumpy and wont pick up to normal until i get over 3000rpm in every gear, and at a stop im idling very low and it will drop down suddenly almost die (i feel the engine kick a bit) then it come back a little bit and repeats.

any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

 

Is the Check Engine Light ON?

You may have a dirty EACV that needs cleaning and/or a problem with the fuel system (e.g., clogged fuel filter or injectors).

 

no the engine light is not on, I have replaced my fuel filter and ran a fuel system cleaner.

 

I would try cleaning the EACV with carburetor cleaner to see if you get some improvement. Other reasons for your problems could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator (picture 1), PCV (picture 2), or catalytic converter (picture 3), as well as a vacuum leak (search forum - apparently spraying some carburetor cleaning fluid around leaking vacuum hoses and connections will cause the engine to bog).
