just recently i have been having problems with my car when i start to accelerate. the car shakes and it feels like im about to stall it even if its revd at 3k. its a 2000 civic ex

 

do you have a cel? more info plz.

 

If the CEL is not on (or if it is on, and the codes are "misfire"), start by changing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor.

 

if cel, most likely a misfire due to ignition or o2 sensor depending on if you've changing anything recently that would cause the sputtering.

 

It could be bad gasoline. Try another tank of gas from a different station.

 

k i just installed a new o2 sensor because my last one was bad apperantlyand a new knock sensor because the last one somehow broke. i ave no cel....everything seems clean xept that sputtering AND.....my car does not reach its rev limit wich is 7.25 and max speed of 120 is now less than 115......

 

well smart car.. you shouldnt be going that fast anyway

 

lol, well i did end up finding a code but it has 2 meanings for it in my book. i jumped the service wire under the passenger side to find any troubles and the check eng. light just gave me a solid long nonstop flash...it never blinked as a matter of fact. other noticable things are my engninge gets wicked loud at 5+ rpm and i dont notice my vtech kickn in either
