engine swaps for MPG
I have recently heard of people swapping '92-'95 VX engine and transmissions with the proper electronics into '88-'91 CRX Hf's and have achived 80-100 mpg. Has anyone done this or heard of this here??
Thanks. Fred |

The engine you're aiming for is the D15Z1 which will directly bolt up That site will give you more info... Sounds like a good plan actually. |
That's a great post. Thanks. I am going to look into that since my 91 4 Dr Dx needs a new engine.

I was reading more on MPG and there is a super mpg car that looks like it uses this same engine. Look up FuelVapor technologies and they are developing the Ale which gets 92 mpg. That is just a straight turbo charged gasoline engine. They say that if they do a hybrid version they should be able to achieve 400 mpg. And the car still does 0-60 in under 5 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 12.9. Going to keep my eye on this one.

What!?
That's absolutely absurd. I must do some reading on this!!! And perhaps make a post about it. |
Here is the link to their website and the specs on the car:
