Exhaust Manifold questions
Thanks, I'll check. Why would I have a California emissions when I live in Virginia? DO you know the differences. can they be swapped out interchangeably since the California one would be more stringent? Thanks again
Most cars if not all are CA emissions. Many years ago, there were a bunch of cars that were only Fed mandated. In the early 70's, some drivetrain options were not available for sale in CA. With the exhaust, if you were buy it from the dealer, they would only carry the one that is CA emission for your 2002 Civic. I would only be concern if you need to have your car smog. In California, some smog stations are strict enough to make sure that you have the right components on your car. With my 97 HX Civic, there were two types of cats that would fit my car, only one from the dealer was approved for CA. The aftermarket ones were not.
My original sticker says I have CARB Ultra Low Emissions. Do I need to worry about which manifold/converter I find orwill I be OK if I just follow the one for my model of car for that year? Thanks for the help. I know Jeeps, not Hondas

Many years ago when I had a 79 Celica, I had a cracked manifold. Toyota replaced it for free even though I had around 90,000 miles on it and it was 6-7 years old at the time. With my Civic, I had to pay for it because I had way too many miles on it and I don't think Honda would have ate the cost.
