Default A few questions

I purchased my first Honda about 3 months ago.. 2005 Civic EX. Pretty good little car.. Not really my cup of tea but with gas prices the way they are, got to do something.

Heres my questions.. Do all Civic's wine in reverse, and are they always a bit hard to put into gear at a stop. Also what MPG should I expect out of this car..

Thanks Mitch

Here is my real love..

the reverse gear in a civic is a spur type gear, they only hit one tooth at a time and at speed, will whine. its also a weak design (no reverse doughnuts). all forward gears and helical gears, they touch more then one tooth at a time makeing it stronger, quiet and easyer to put into gear.

whining is reverse is normal, I think you should probaly get atleast 30 city and 35 highway or better, I have a '91 and have noticed from a stop I somtimes have to let up the clutch a little and it goes right into gear. I'm sure get a little more insight though from some of the other people in this forum who actually have or had the '95.

O.K. It's obvious I'm not paying attention to detail neon pretty much already answered your questions.
