Flapping/tappet sound while accelerating esp. at low rpm. Overheats while driving.
 

My 2002 ex has been making a low flapping sound when under a load and after driving for a while on the highway my temperature gauge has been going up. Radiator has fluid, but I'm planning a flush anyway. Fans work when I open up the hood and start it. Thoughts on where to start looking?
