flash code 9 on eg civic with a new b16a swap
dropped a b16a into my eg civic. showing a flash code 9 whch is a cylinder sensor, that much i know, i did my research and replaced the distributor housing, still showed the code, was told to replace the computer, still showing the code. im running out of places to search for answers.
i also noticed that coming out of the wiring harness coming out of the firewall there is a yellow and a red wire, neither are connected to anything. anyone know what they are or if they have something to do with this?

It would have to be a wiring problem then. First check the pins in the distributor and ECU plugs for damage or corrosion. Unplug the ECU (distributor still plugged in) and measure sensor resistance at the ECU plug, it should be the same as at the sensor. This tests that the wires from ECU to sensor are intact. Also measure resistance from sensor wires to ground (ECU still unplugged), should be open circuit.
i also noticed that coming out of the wiring harness there is a yellow and a red wire going to nothing. the mechanic that helped me out with the swap said they didnt go anywhere, any idea if that could have anything to do with it?
