Yes I know that this is Honda Civic forum and I would never own a Ford, but my friend does and is having issues (no suprise). It's an automatic, I think all tauruses are. She puts the car in drive and then the engine will rev up, and it won't move for a second and then it will grab. It takes off jerkily and then will stop putting power to the wheels, then grab. I'm thinking that it has to be something with a clutch in the transmission or some kind of computer problem. Just wondering if anybody could help me with some kind of diagnosis. Thanks.

 

hate to say it but its new tranny time you can take it and have it put on a scaner but i worked in a junk yard for 5 years and we got calls on taurus auto trannys all the time they have a bad habit of burning up good luck
