front end problem

had a problem with cv axle and decide to replace all the front end components at 105k...got everything back together and i have a problem..the back of the steering knuckle is making contact with the strut spring...i thought i followed the directions but something is not right..the upper control armhangs in a downward manner...shud it be more level..i also noticed that when i tightened the tie rod end, the castle nut went beyond the hole enough so that the cotter pin does not contact the nut when you push it thru the stud... i lifted up on the control arm b-4 doing this and let down on it after tightening....the fork and strut went in correctly so i think it's the height..in the manualsdirections they talk about simulating ride height...how is that done...maybe that is my problem
