Default Tranny sensor

Well as some of you guys already know or have read, Im dropping a Z6 in place of my Y8 but Im using my Y8 Intake mani, wire harness, and distributer on the Z6. I ran into a problem with the wire harness and that is the sensor thats on the trannys. The auto tranny sensor was different than the Z6 manual tranny sensor. One sensor is a 2 wire with the other being a 3 wire plug. What exactly is this sensors purpose and what might I do with this to make it work correctly?

In case you haven't read yet, Im doing a auto to manual change at the same time and will have it wired up and done tomorrow. So maybe someone can get me a little info so tomorrow I can drop this motor in and try it out. Thanks a million guys!

Another thing as well, What is the unit that has 2 big bolts that holds it on to the tranny. If you remove it you can see what looks like the fly wheel(Wheel with teeth) and can I use the one from my auto tranny Y8 on the Z6 manual tranny?

Do you think the countershaft, main, and vehicle speed sensors are possibilities (see pictures)?

From your picture, It looks to be the Countershaft speed sensor. Any info on that?

I had actually seen that when I googled it. Wonder what I should do? I have to run to advance auto in the morning to get my parts so I will stop by the junk yard and take a quick look at the manual Y8 setup and if all else fails cut the plug off but Im sure if this will help cause Im sure the plug ends will be the same and won't get me any where. I guess I can remove the plug and look it over but until then, anyone have any info for me on what I might do? Thanks for the info RonJ!
