Gas pedal

2001 civic dx, 5 spd, the gas pedal is very rough when engaged, it makes for not so smoothe accelerating, has anyone had this problem, ive tried lithium grease on the spring doesnt seem to help much.

which part do you mean? the throttle body rotates smoothly and the cable 'looks' fine, is there anything paticular i should check out on it?

i would have to say its probly the cable itself... try and shove some grease in a can down it... or replace the whole thing.
