HELP!! H22 into a delSol
i have a 95 delSol (originally the 1.5L w/automatic tranny.) my timing belt broke while i was driving and seized the motor. anyways, i bought a jdm h22w/ manual trannyfor it and we've run into some problems putting it in. i know that this is a tough swap, andthere are little quirks to getting the motor to fit, but this is getting very frustrating. we finally got the driver's and passengerside motor mounts in, but it leaves the rear mount way off (the bracket is a couple inches higher than the mount,) but the motor is totally level and it looks as if the driveshafts will be right on once we put them in. the supplier of themotor mounts is assuring me that i DO have the correct mounts... has anyone ever done this swapand run into this problem?? i just need my car running!!! any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: HELP!! H22 into a delSol
the manual tranny rear bracket came attached to the prelude motor... how do i make it fit with the delSol that was originally automatic??

RE: HELP!! H22 into a delSol
forget the prelude bracket, the mount kit is designed for the manual bracket from the delSol

RE: HELP!! H22 into a delSol
so how do i get it to fit then?? a rear bracket from a manual tranny delsol isnt gonna fit on the prelude motor, is it??... we were just planning on building onto the bracket to connect it to the motor mount... any otherthoughts on what we should do to make it work? right now, as it sits, it looks like the driveshafts will line up fine and the whole motor is completely level...
