Help needed urgently!

Hi guys,

just about to order a HID kit for my 2004 ep2. Problem is that on the website im buying it off, it says my bulb fitment should be h1 yet in my manual it says hb4 or hb3 or something?. The bulbs I have in my car atm (low beam) are H1. Would it be ok to go ahead and order the h1 kit?

Thanks in advance.

HID lights are typically only for low beams, so it should match those bulbs.

That being said, if you're planning to use the stock headlight housings, please don't. They're reflector-type, and are designed for incandescent bulbs, not HID bulbs which have a different light pattern.

The result will be that you'll blind everyone coming toward you, and the light will be so diffused that you won't be able to see anything either.

^I agree with the first line. I won't comment on the rest of it since I have HIDs in my stock housings currently. I have done tests with friends in a variety of different vehicles and not one said they were distracted by my lights while passing them, or driving behind them. I have never been "flashed" by on coming traffic. 35w bulbs 5k color.

BTW this is not urgent. If you were stuck on the side of the road, with no hope of a tow truck and the car is not starting, that would be "urgent", not confirming what size bulbs you need for a HID conversion.
