So today I was just messing around and gunned it in first, and shifted into second close to redlined and hit it again. Right after the **** and putting it to the floor the car "popped"/"slammed" kinda hard. I mean I normally get tire hop for a sec, and it pops a little. But today it was optimal weather for my tires to grip, so they didn't slide at all in second and just threw me back. Could this pop just have been the tires catching right away and it getting up in rpms again, or could something have broke? I drove the car around for a little bit and it drives fine, so im thinking it was just the tires catching that gave the jolt. Any help would be appreciated!

 

Take a look at your engine mounts and see if they look weird at all. I dont think that you could have broken anything, but take a good long look around the engine bay to make sure.

P.S.
It is a good idea to get very intimate with your car. If your outside for a smoke pop the hood and just look over every little inch of you engine bay. Same with the rest of the car. Take pictures of it. That way if you think something has moved or broken or fallen off, you stand a better chance of spotting it right away. Just a thought.
