so i was drivin my civic home from work and stopped off at the gas station and noticed that the front passinger tire was low 10lbs so i put some air in also checked all fulids brake was a little low but i got a bottle at the house so i jumped back on the on ramp when i switch from 3rd to 4th at about 4800 it just jumped to 8000 and stuck i put it in neutral at it was just redlining like the throttle was stuck so i pulled off checked the throttle it was workin just fine does any body have any clues

Is the throttle pedal stuck on the floor carpet? Otherwise, try cleaning the throttle body.

it did stick but when i put it in 5th it went back down but then gradually went back up by itself....

Neither of those sensors would likely produce such a high engine rev. I'd focus more on a throttle cable or throttle body issue.
