Default Honda Civic Keyless Entry Remotes and Programming Instructions

What does your local dealer charge for Honda keyless entry remotes?

My Honda dealer wants $119 a piece plus $35 for programming for each of my cars (00 Civic Si, 99 Odyssey)

I'm curious to see what other dealerships are charging for new remotes and programming.

I'm done with ebay because the listings show new remotes, and 3 out of 3 times I've won - I end up with junk that doesn't work and won't program. First one was superglued together and cracked. Can't check the battery if you can't even open it. Second one was completely corroded inside from water and didn't work. The 3rd one only 1 button worked and it looked like someone tried to superglue the circuit board pieces back together. Each one was advertised as new, or like new and they obviously weren't anywhere close to that. The Keyles Ride site is run by one of those same lying ebay sellers, so thats off the list too.

What does your local dealership charge? I bet there's some that want even more than what mine is charging.

I got my remote for $90 at the dealer and programmed it myself, it's easy. There are a lot of places online where you can get a remote for $50 or less.

Well $90 is certainly cheaper than $154 plus tax..

What dealership did you use?

I browsed the net for a bit, found a few sites, but prices aren't too different. The KR site doesn't even work, I get an error when I check the price for the 00 Civic...lol.

Another site wants $60, but I think I found another site online that I'm willing to give a shot - www.ThePartsYouNeed.com

The dealer wants $119, and they're less than 1/4 that price on thepartsyouneed site with the instructions included. I'm going to order 1 for now.

https://www.thepartsyouneed.com/disp...?productId=139

I'll keep you guys posted. If it works good, I'm going to order one for my Odyssey as well.

LOL I just bought one on ebay but it was new and the guy had over 1300 feedback and it was 100%. Money back guarntee if they don't program and guarnteed to be new. So i figure it is worth the risk.

Who'd you buy from on ebay? One of the listings I bought from said "new in factory sealed bag" but it was all scratched up, and just sealed in one of those do-it-yourself freezer baggie type things. The guy I bought that one from has over 1000 feedback.
