How much would it cost to turn my automatic into a manual?
 

I got an automatic (i know) because this is my first car and my parents paid for most of it. But I know how to drive manual and i really wish I had one instead of this grandma-car automatic. How much does it cost to change it, and how hard is it?

06 Civic LX. Shop will be doing it. i'm still new at engine work...

i would consider selling the car and BUYING a manual.... for such a newer car at least....

Just sell it..Too much work involve on doing this change. You should of looked into a 5spfrom the beginning. I agree with Addiction

More likely you are still making payments for this car or is it payed off already????

It's not worth it to convert it to stick. There are plenty cars out there with a manual. I'm surprised a shop is willing to a swap to manualon a newer car.

agrreeed... parent going to let you sell it ? depending how much you get for the car idk maybe buy mid 90's civic, integra, prelude 5 speed then thorow little money on some goodies...

i just did the swap but mine is a 93, and its much easier, i did it in my garage... the new civics have such a small engine bay its rediculous. i agree with you just selling and buying something else

how hard would it be to change a 1999 honda civic dx auto into a manual and vtech and how much would this cost if i did it myself
