Typically, those technical manuals (like Haynes and Chiltons)are usually source written by the same people - which is why they usually same the same stuff (almost word for word), and share the same illustrations.

Here's an online source for our Hondas. It should (read should) cover your year and model. They're basic instructions in the illustrations, with more detailed sections for each model. http://www.honda-civiconline.com/CIVIC%201995-1997.html

And here's a basic outline of the clutch system from the same people linked to above. http://www.honda-civiconline.com/dat...ed%20Index.pdf

Hope that helps.

ya its preaty easy.... hardest part is geting the tranny outta the way ;)
i did mine with the motor.tranny outta the car since it was pulled.... swaping it and slaping it back together is preaty easy... but thiers just one thing you NEED to be carefull with is those guide pins.... mine had two but i messed up one of them and couldnt make it fit back in.. so i just pulled it out and threw it away... ;) ya dont quite need them BUT they do help line the tranny up....

just be sure the tranny goes it evenly before ever doing anything more than finger tight on the bolts..

When my clutch went out, I was about due for a t-belt change in my 1998EX.I decided to just pull the motor, change the Timing belt, water pump, Clutch, plugs wires...and about anything else I could change. (within normal reason)Took about10 hours from start to close up.
