Default how to replace starter on 99 civic



i have done this many times on my bimmers, but my friend just had his go bad. sometimes it turns the car on, but mostly it just spins. where exactly is it located on his car and how hard to replace. very simple on bimmers, just 2 bolts and the cables.</P>

The starter is next to the right shock tower on the upside of the tranny (which makes it a little easier to get to since you don't need to raise the car). Sounds like a bad solanoid.

A rachet and long extension should do it.
