Default hp squeeze

How's this for a common question, yet so many ways of answering. I have a '95 civic ex. Has 112000 mi. Runs excellent. Soon, my second garage(32x40) will be built. Then I can start the mod process. My plans are to keep it subtle, yet still get a couple of heads to turn. I'll probably add a tasteful body kit, leave the interior mainly stock except new seats and subtle highlights, but would like it to be a little more go. My ultimate goal is about 225 hp WITHOUT engine swapping. I'll keep an open mind if this is the way to go, but I don't want to go through all the complications of it. I would really like opinions on forced air; particularly turbo vs. supercharging. Naturally aspirated is my first choice, but adding 100hp by only bolt ons seems a little far fetched. I'd sure like everyone's input.

When adding comments just hit the edit button in ur original post . you can change whatever you want then... 225 hp to wheels.. i have been over and over considering all options prior to my wreck.. but from the compiled details i got .. just do a leakdown compression test on your current block/head.. as long as its in good shape.. clean it up.. change head gasket and add some ARP head studs .. only about 100 bucks for studs probably 70-100 for gasket.. then either look up the turbo parts shopping list in the Boost section.. or buy a kit if you got the cash. Then go get a good tune,, you will get over 200whp with a good turbo... Build it yourself decent kit 2500 it seems.. and premade kits with almost everything you need ie.. Greddy/HKS .. usually just need an intercooler with these.. puts you around 4k for turbo.. then find a shop to install and tune.. probly around 1k to 1500..

not NA .. in the Engine/Internals link in the forum there is a thread listed for building up a Y8 engine.. only gets it to around 150 hp .. and costs a bit..you would need at least a B series swap to get over 200whp NA..
