i found a 3 pin connection lose in my bumper ( honda civic 8th gen )

i bougt a honda civic.
and i wass looking in my front bumpe and i saw this connection sticking out.
who can tell me what this is for?

It's probably some sort of aftermarket engine preheater to plug into the power grid at night, for easier starting in extremely cold weather. The plug is a standard NEMA 5-15 AC plug used in the USA, Canada, etc.

Battery chargers are used the same way. Look at where the cord goes under the hood. If you don't have anything to plug it into in your country anyway, just cut the cord off.

Its a 3 wire cable thats on my engine.
I really dont know what its for.

It's an engine pre-heater. Unless you live in an extremely cold climate you don't need it at all.

In Canada we call them "Block Heaters". They are a 120 VAC heater element (about 1000 watts) imersed in the engine coolant and we plug them in at night when the outside air is expected to go below -15C or so. Otherwise we may kill our battery trying to start a very cold engine.
