Identifying a seal (D15B1)
 

Can anyone identify this seal so I can put an order in? thanks in advance.

Its located under the intake manifold. Its a steal tube that runs from the thermostat to behind the water pump into the block. The seal is on the end of the tube at the block where the water pump is. Its a 1 inch round rubber o-ring.

I had a coolant leak and I thought it was a cracked block but after removing parts I noticed it was leaking out of that steel coolant tube at the block (behind water pump) so I pulled that coolant tube I noticed the seal was shot.

Assuming you have a 1994 Civic DX (just guessed on a vehicle which would have that motor), the part number you need is 91314-634-000.

You can go to hondapartsdeals.com, enter in your vehicle info and then click "engine", then "water pump - Thermostat" and see the pipe right there. :D

I actually have a 1991 Honda Civic Hatch 3 Dr but same motor indeed. That part is the one im looking for thanks!

According to that Website there isnt a name for that Seal either other than "O-Ring." Maybe ill just run to a close auto parts store. Thanks I appreciate the Reply!

Yea, it is not a "special" Honda part, just an O-ring. I always get Honda O-rings like this though since they can be hard to find and you really don't want to get a size too small or big in order for it to "work"

You are going to have to clean all that corrosion out of the hole in the block to hope for it to seal. There may not be enough metal left.
