Default idle concern

98 civic ex has had engine and trans swap from automatic to standard try to communicate with ecm cannot .found that iac valve is under t/b not on back of intake like another similar vehicle could the problem be that i have a auto iac and now it is standard.

Yes they are different. You'll need to swap the manifold to have the manual type "2 wire" valve, and rewire the harness.

But... if you're saying your code scanner does not link to the ECU, the wrong IAC valve alone won't cause that.

found that the ecm is for an automatic also install a p2e standard ecm took care of most my problem looking for a p2p ecm and also replacing my intake.

THANKS FOR BACKING MY THEORY
