Instrument Cluster Light?

This has happened twice this past week the first time I exited the freeway and made a turn and it felt like the car wanted to shut off I say this becuase the rpms would drop and go and drop quickly while my foot was on the gas pedal and then the Malfunction Indication Lamp light flickered for about 2-3 sec. and then it was fine. Driving down the same road this morning I had to cross over some train tracks and the same thing happened. Has this ever happened too anyone who may know what is causing this? The light does not come on when I start the car onlywhile driving. 2000 Ex at

Even after the light goes out, the ECU will remember why it decided to turn the light on. You can read it out as a trouble code.

I had done the same thing too my Lexus 1992 es300, but I could not get it too flash. So I took it too Advance Auto Parts and the guy said it read no code. So when I took off I floored it and too describe how it fells the only way I can compare it too is when I cut the grass with a push lawn mower and it wants too shut off becuase I am attemting too cut more than it can handle as if it wants too shut off, thats the way my car feels!

When the CEL returns, try again to retrieve the trouble code, which will help with troubleshooting.

In the meantime, check the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, as well as the ignition timing.
