Default Interior dome light

When I got my car I noticed the dome light was way too dim so I put a larger bulb in it and everything was good. Apparently over the course of about 6 months of using it like this I have managed to melt most of the plastic near the bulb as well as the rubber shielding from the wires going to the dome light. Today I wrapped the wires up and put in a dome light I jacked from my grand am but it doesnt have the switch so I only get light when the door is open. Does anyone know if theres any other dome lights with a switch that would fit and be capable of a larger bulb without melting or do I just need to suck it up and get another oem one and use it with the dim light?

You can add a switch. It just needs to ground the wire that goes to the door switches. The two wires at the light are one always live and the other is switched to ground when a door is opened.
