JayVee...... with this whole USDM type r plan you have going........ It is going to get expensive to get legit type R parts. and you spraying your interior black OR dark Grey isn't gonna affect anything really. Just make sure you get the legit lips if your going this route. Its the only really noticeable thing that will look awesome.

Id suggest buying after market front seats and bolt some gsr leathers in the back. and get the rest sprayed black/Grey. If you really want the red carpet go for it. its not expensive at all. But just remember, red will get dirty, quick.

it'll affect appearance, but yeah you make a good point. i might just work my way through until i feel comfortable enough with the inside, who knows if i'll get the interior area painted black or not.

just out of curiousity where could i maybe get this professionaly done?
and what other honda base models came with black interior (not light/dark grey)? only one i'm thinking of is the ek4 & ek9..

The only other ones that were stock black were JDM and EDM. And you'd have to talk to some shops locally, see what they do.
