Intermitent starting
I have a 93 1.5l that was running fine, then shut it off one day and it does not want to restart. All engine lights turn on when ignition is turned on, but fuel pump does not run. Turning the ignition from the off postion to the on position eventually will get the fuel pump on. Then the car will run fine until the next time it's turned off. No codes are stored in ecu. Replaced the main relay, coil, and ignitor and still have same problem. Map sensor is in speck for voltage, ground wires at thermostat housing clean. Sometimes the gear selector lock will pulsate off then on quickly. Is there a way to check the ecu? Could this be a faulty ground? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
I had a 90 Accord that had a "fuel pump" relay that would work intermittently. It would almost never pull in when the sun beat down on the dash because it was located to the left of the steering column way up under the dash.
