Default Keyless Entry?

I just got a 2001 Civic EX today and it only came with the key, no keyless entry which is something I desperately need. I work at night a lot and I'd like it for when I'm walking to my car, makes me feel safer.
I was wondering if I am able to purchase a keyless entry remote for an 01 Civic that it will be able to be programmed to my car? It's powder locks and everything. Help would be great, thanks!

get a cheap alarm system that would give you keyless entry or you can invest in a quality alarm system if you want your car to be a little more secured. clifford and vipers are good brand. is that what you want?

I got a refurbished Viper 160VX for like $70 on eBay that has keyless entry and remote start. I recommend it if you want a decent standard keyless entry system. Remote start is of course optional, don't wire it up if you don't want it.
