LIfe of stock Belt and Clutch

Hey i was wondering what people can expect out of their timing belt on a 2001 civic sedan ex manual. I have heard differing stories, and my car is coming up to 80k on the stock clutch and belt so i was wondering when they need replaced.

Check the manual. Most cars claim to go up to 100k miles. I would replace the timing early rather than too late. Also replace the water pump while messing with the belt, will save a lot of time later on. Also change plugs. Use platinum plugs, they will go another 100k. In terms of the clutch it is propably still good depending on your driving style. Do not replace the clutch before it fails (you will notice it when it does). Clutches can last way beyond 100k.

The clutch should be good for the life of the car, timing belts are good for 60k. After 60k it would be a good idea to change the belt cause you don't want it to snap on you. Change the water pump with the timing belt.
