listen plate problem. Cant get it on front!
ok, so my civic was used, and the screws that were on it were broke off, at the head, so the screw is still threaded on, but I can't get it off. I'm going to my uncles tomorrow and I think he can get it off, but what exactly is the screw threading into? I dont know if there is a nut on the other side of the bumper, or what.
Hey, thanks for all the help!
I'm an official civic owner today!

**** the front plate, it looks much better without them. Still trying to find time to take mine off and fill the holes....
Here in the great state of Ohio, they require it, but my plan is to just keep it on the floorboard and if I get questioned about it, I'd say it just fell off today.

Not because i didnt have time, i just dont like the look of it either. Told him i had it off doing stuff to my car. lol

same thing happend with mine, except i just sawed the screws off, and said screw the lisence plate on the front, haha. I live in ohio too, but i just put the plate in the back of the car, so if i get stopped, ill just say that i cant get the screw out to put the plate one.
Do you really want to invite the police to pull over your car? I'd rather have a slightly ugly car than being repeatedly pulled over and harassed.
The bolts go into metal nuts that are molded into the bumper, if those get rusted up and won't come out, move the plate over slightly to one side and secure it with wood screws driven into the plastic bumper itself.

ok thanks. yea they seem to be quite rusted there. well there are two other holes right next to the previous ones, so I can drill holes in teh license place to match, rather than the bumper, but I dont know how I am supposed to get the screws to grab anything, I dont know how to reach around teh bumper and screw the bolt into a nut.
