Default a little blue smoke

just bought a 93 DX with 127,000, and it blows a little blue smoke......also have a 94 LX that has 234,000 and a new top end, runs great, but don't know how long it's going to last....can i swap motor tranny if necessary?....just wondering if i should just fix the 93 (blue smoke)....and sell the 94, ......the 93 DX has better interior, body, and suspension.....how much to fix the smoke?, does this mean the motor is junk?...help!

You have exactly the same engine and transmission in both cars, so it would be easy to swap.

Probably is.

Go to hondatech.info: Honda service manuals and look for the Civic manual. It's in PDF format and will outline the whole process, as well as tell you what tools you need.

(You might try throwing a can of a product called Restore in the engine. I would guess your rings are a little worn, hence the blue smoke. Restore will help with that.)

I thought white smoke was for a blown headgasket & blue was for oil being burned somewhere...?

Actually, that's white smoke. Blue = oil, white = coolant. Blown head gasket = coolant getting into cylinders = white smoke. Blue smoke = oil in the cylinders from worn rings or bad valve seals.
