i lost the key to my civic cause like a idiot i dont have a spare key so im locked out,can i call a lock smith to come open it and i dont know neone who has had this done but i have heard people talk about it but maybe u can help,can they make me a new key and if not im screwed and i have to change my door locks,ignition and stuff right....apreciate ne help,thinks

 

I think you can take the vin and all of your paperwork to a dealership and they can cut you a new key.

Please make sure to bring all of your paper work to prove that its your car.

 

just go to a Honda dealer with your vin. If its a 2000 or earlier the key is like $8. Otherwise, be prepared to pay a good bit for the chipped key.

 

appreciate the help guys im going to do it in the mornin,im glad i can do that way cheaper then what i thought i would have to do

 

the locksmith can open the door but he can't make a new key without something to copy the key from.
