Default Loud Screeching Noise

After a road trip of a few hundred miles, I got home and my car has been sitting for a few hours and I start it up again to move it and it is making a load screeching noise, I put it into neutral to get out and look at the engine bay then the noise got louder so I just shut the car off. I looked at the belts and they look fine. Anyone know whats up?

Edit: I just started it again for my dad to hear it and the noise stoped so he said it might be the water pump or something?

Neither, I did see some oil or grease, [its like yellow/clear] on were the tranny meets the engine but I think that is a separate problem.
