Main Relay location.

Hi everyone,
Still fighting the 91 civic DX starts when it feels like problem. got a new main relay to put in. the guys a the Honda dealer said it was mounted
on the driver side outside wall. Nothing is there. There is a component on the steering colum, but does not have the same connector. HELP !!!!
My Haynes book is too general. There isn't even a wiring diagram for my 91 Honda in this 84 to 91 book. Is it possible that it is on the back of
the fuse block.

thanks guys, really enjoy this forum.

RE: Main Relay location.

Thanks for the reply, but thats where I've been looking and there is nothing there. All I see is
a 10mm bolt holding a ground lug to the chassis. I'll keep looking. the wife is getting frustrated,
it's her car.
It would be pretty hard to miss this relay, it is 1.5"x1.2"x2.5".

thanks

RE: Main Relay location.

Do you have that little flip down coin tray to the left of you steering wheel in the dash. If so it's easier to find if you take it out and look directly to the left behind the plastic it's not necessary to remove the tray to replace it but i'ts a little easier to see it. It's pretty much even with the bottom of the dash.

Alright !!!! Thanks JustBob74,
Altho there is not a change pocket on the dash, it made me look father up in there.
There was the relay. Took some doing to get it out, but I replaced the relay with a
new one. time will tell if the problem is fixed. Will let you know.
Thanks again.
