mini-me question
according to the mini-me DIY on here, it says to use HX spark plugs due to the compression differences in a Z6 and D15 block. would this also be necessary in a Z6 head on a D16(Y7) block? which plugs would you recommend using for this swap?
well after answering your question, about something completely different, i went back and re-read your post, and "Y7" i dont think that is the block it is the head, and im guessing you have a D16 block, so i dont think there would be any compression difference but the last bit i guessed[8D] (depending what gasket you used)
yeah, i know y7 is the head, but you also know what block i am talking about when i say d16y7... i will edit it so you can be happy
though. i'm using a y8 gasket because it is metal.

you might have to look it up, check to see if theres any difference in thickness between your standard gasket, and the one your using, and the thickness of the ones given in the How To, and use your better judgement, or just wait until someone that knows what their talking about to let us know, but a difference in the thickness of the gasket will cause a rise/fall in compression. imagine putting your fist in a glass (cylinder) now your fist would only even move 6 inches, it would compress the air more in a smaller glass than a larger glass
