a minime swap is swapping the heads, usually to add HP and vtec. if you have a d series motor, most mini me swaps would consist of either

A. z6
B. y8

those r the most common.

You are correct, a mini me is taking the non-VTEC head off and putting a VTEC head onto a 1500cc block (usually the D15B7 found in 1992-1995 Civics). The D-series engine parts are quite interchangeable.

If you do a mini me swap and then you boost it you gonna have a big problem, because what you do when you swap a vtec head on a non vtec block you rise your compression ratio and if you use a turbo on this set up your block wont hold the punishment no to mention the other components, like pistons and rods, chinobk, take the cylinder head to the machine shop resurface it get a new head gasket and when you install it again retorque the head bolts to 70 pounds per foot, not 49 as the manual says, trust me I did it in my swap and fix the problem.
