I have a chance to buy a motor off of a 91 teg ls, i believe its got a b18, im not sure if its a a1/a2. Im thinking about the whole motor swap into my 91 hb, but i have a sohc zc in it now. and i have no idea about that swap. but i was wondering if i can do a minime swap. put the head from the 1.8 on to my zc. has it been done? or am venturing off into the wilderness. any comments will help.

Sorry, but you're officially off the deep end.

 

You can not put the head from the B18 on the engine that is in your car.

 

By the way it is a B18A

 

Like those guys said, no, you can't put that head on your motor, but you can swap the whole motor and tranny into your hatch and then put a B18 or a B16 vtec head on the LS motor. That's called a Frankenstein, and it's quite a bit more potent than it's little brother the mini-me.

 

Or you can boost the ***** off the LS, since it will take to it better than any other Honda engine.

 

Is there a write up on the b18a swap? or does anybody know what im gonna need?

can i ust the mounts from the ls in my hb? or do i have to get custom mounts?

No, the LS mounts were made to fit the Integra engine bay. You'll need custom mounts, preferrably ones that drop the engine slightly so you don't have to "modify" the hood or remove the upper timing cover to clear the cam gears.
