just got a 97 DX, it has 105K on it, and its bone stock. under acceleration it sputters and it sounds liek a missifre. does any one know what this could be? thanks. i searched, but didint find anything on the topic that helped

 

It could be a number of things. I would start with the distibutor cap and rotor, change the spark plugs and maybe even some new plug wires. I always replace all of this if a buy a used car from someone along with changing all the fluids and filters.

 

change the fuel filter and fuel pressure reg........spray some intake manifold cleaner into the intake mani.......change plugs wires and dizzy.........run a tank of high octane gas wit injector cleaner..........should fix ya up
